Energy Savings

With energy costs on the rise, replacing your old windows will likely lower your overall heating and cooling bills, while increasing the value of your home.
Thermal-Gard Building Products, Inc. uses only top quality manufacturing products.. AND makes them a standard feature in ALL our windows.

Solarban® 60 glass

Is the ideal energy efficient window solution for climates in which you want to:
- Block direct solar heat year-round.
- Reduce solar heat gain where air conditioning costs are significant.
- Reduce fading and degradation of a home’s carpets, curtains, and furniture from UV rays.
- Provide improved comfort in the winter.

Super Spacer® is a standard feature in all Thermal-Gard Building Products, Inc® Products

Super Spacer’s all foam, NO-Metal formula provides:
Thermal Performance
Windows lose and gain heat by conduction, convection, radiation and air leakage. Unlike metal-based spacers, the all foam construction of Super Spacer is non-conductive, reducing heat flow through the window. Super Spacer provides one of the best thermal performances in the industry. Also see Warm Edge Spacer Technology for more information.
Sound Absorption: The closed-cell polymer foam in Super Spacer transmits very little sound compared to conventional metal spacers. Another reason you’re more comfortable at home with Super Spacer
Durability
Unlike metal spacers, Super Spacer can bounce back when put to the test against winds, temperature fluctuation, rain, snow and UV light. The foam construction of Super Spacer allows it to expand and contract as need, but always return to its original shape. Without Super Spacer’s 100 percent memory formula, windows can eventually crack and lead to seal failure.
Mold Prevention
The fact that Super Spacer is non-conductive means that it also protects a major household threat: mold. Window condensation can lead to molds that increase the likelihood of allergens, including fungi, viruses and mites that might cause respiratory infections, allergies and asthma. Mold needs moisture to grow. To keep condensation off of glass, windows need to have the warmest inside surface temperature as possible – and the world’s warmest edge occurs with Super Spacer.

Best argon gas rates of greater than 99%

ARGON GAS RETENTION

Argon is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable, non-reactive, inert gas that reduces heat transfer through the insulating glass unit versus air. It is the most popular type of insulating gas used in this application. At manufacture, argon is injected between the two glass lites in an insulating glass unit. Whether argon gas will do its job throughout the life of the window system depends on the strength of the edge seal and the ability to keep the gas inside of the insulated glass unit. Super Spacer resists argon gas escape, providing the industry’s most consistent seal and the best gas retention rates of greater than 99%
